- W3189169877 abstract "The hydrazone organics have obvious third-order nonlinear optical properties because of the existence of the delocalized π-electrons and the strong coupling between electrons with geometric structure. Compared with traditional inorganic materials, hyrazone materials have the advantages of fast response time, low dielectric constant, convenient preparation, and strong delocalization electronic system. However, the strength of this material in nonlinear optics and ultrafast photonics is rarely involved. In this article, we studied the optical energy gap through the density functional theory (DFT) method to verify the nonlinear absorption characteristics of hydrazone compound 1-(anthracen-9-ylmethylene)-2-(perfluorophenyl)hydrazine (Ayph). The nonlinear transmission characteristics of Ayph are studied with high modulation depth of ∼7.46% and saturation absorption intensity of ∼49.37 MW·cm–². Most importantly, by adding Ayph saturable absorber to the Er-doped fiber laser, we are able to generate ultrashort pulses with very stable operation at a central wavelength of 1563.9 nm first. The preparation and characterization of Ayph and other characteristics of traditional soliton pulse are also discussed. It has been proved that Ayph is a promising material for ultrafast broadband nonlinear optics for the first time to our knowledge. Considering the material’s rich characteristics and structural controllability, these studies lay the foundation for multifeature photonics." @default.
