- W3189661657 abstract "The interface erosion–wear behaviors of Fe–B alloy with different Fe2B orientations in flowing zinc at 460 °C were studied. The results revealed that, for a rotation speed of 100 rpm, the directional Fe–B alloy with a “Fe2B⊥interface” structure (the [002] orientation of Fe2B) exhibits the best erosion–wear resistance. Moreover, the relationship between the Fe2B orientation and ferrite matrix had a significant effect on the erosion–wear microdamage mechanism. Parallel Fe2B zinc suppressive layers were formed at the “Fe2B⊥interface”, thereby preventing erosion of the matrix by the liquid zinc. Furthermore, Fe–Zn products such as δ-FeZn10 and ζ-FeZn13 formed near the liquid zinc. During the damage process, the directional Fe2B and ferrite matrix structure exhibited a good protective and supporting effect, which combined to reduce the weight loss associated with the damage." @default.
