Despite the unique ability of the liver to heal itself, there is still no effective treatment except liver transplantation for chronic liver injury or even liver failure caused by acute liver injury. Stem cell-derived exosomes are ideal drug carriers due to their unique immunomodulatory effects and structural characteristics. In this study, quercetin and vitamin A loaded adipose mesenchymal stem cells (ASCs)-derived exosomes were constructed and used to treat acute liver injury induced by CCl4 in mice. Quercetin enhances the therapeutic efficacy of exosomes, while vitamin A enhances the liver targeting of exosomes, and it was found that quercetin and vitamin A loaded mesenchymal stem cell exosomes reduce rapid senescence-like response induced by acute liver injury." @default.
