The study discloses that the trained employees help the Bank’s’ drive and competitiveness but it is difficult to understand the need assessment before training. The modern view of human resource involves considering employees as human “assets” and developing appropriate policies and programs as investments in these assets to increase their value to the organization and the market place. To go along with rapidly changing technologies, workforce redesigning and global business operation training and development is increasingly becoming a major strategic issue for financial organization. Today, business atmosphere and intense global antagonism have made it essential for organizations to constantly train their human resources. In order to design training programs which are strategic to business needs, training needs must be identified systematically and theoretically with the use of the appropriate tools.
