- W3193354248 abstract "Applying the volumetric modular method to microwave devices provides for the compactness and modularity of their components. This article presents a duplexer (frequency-splitting device) built using the volumetric modular technology. The duplexer is designed to support the simultaneous operation of the receiving and transmitting microwave paths in communication systems, air traffic control systems, etc. It is applied when one antenna is used to simultaneously transmit and receive signals at different frequency ranges. A new method of designing a duplexer with the use of volumetric strip-slot transitions which couple to each other through the electromagnetic field of a slot resonator is considered. A layout for the volumetric strip-slot transitions, which provides a high level of electromagnetic isolation between the transmitting and receiving channels, is presented. The proposed layout provides preferable s-parameters for each channel. The results of an electrodynamics simulation are presented. The simulation results confirmed the legitimacy of the application of the presented layout to ensure the necessary isolation between channels." @default.
