- W3194774125 abstract "Nowadays, several people lose different limbs either in injury accident or due to diseases that deprive them from the functionality of their limbs. Currently the prosthetic offers an option for the people with an amputee to enable them living in a normal daily life as a normal person. The artificial leg has gained important role particularly in heterogeneous biped walking robot where its major task is simulation the healthy person gait to empower the movement of disabled person. The pneumatic artificial muscles (PAM) have found very good utilization in the artificial leg. The prosthetic leg is a type of assistive technology that has traditionally allowed users to improve the amputee person quality of life, social interaction, and health. The bionic design of such leg is mainly consisted of its structure, limbs and joint of knee. The components were designed and their performance was simulated by using Solidwork. The platform of evaluation test was built up to identify the correlation between input pressure and output force under the conditions of measured isobaric. Comparable simulated measured performance was achieved in terms of utilizing performance and added force. The density of various materials is also considered and compared to determine the most effective one. In terms of safety, the simulation was carried out to show the functionality of the prosthetic and highlight the safety measure of the body structure. To provide the best model that is able to functions in standing and walking, a PLA component (Polylactic acid/polylactide) was used to satisfy the performance of the structure. With the new era of technology, we can provide better prosthetics to help the human mankind who have amputees." @default.
