Sensors fabricated from the K2Ti2O5 powders exhibited prominent sensing properties, such as a high sensing response value of 70 741, perfect linear response in the humidity environment below 75% relative humidity, short response/recovery time (34/48 s), hysteresis value of 14.3%, and good repeatability. The above high performances were evidenced to be due to the active action of surface potassium ions.
