- W3195630241 abstract "The purpose of this article is to analyze the social changes that occur in the fishing community of Cupel Village, Negara District, Jembrana Regency. The researcher uses a qualitative approach research method with a descriptive type of research. Data was collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants of this study consisted of key informants and supporting informants using the snowball technique. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman method which consisted of data collection, data presentation, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results obtained from this study are (1) the social conditions of the fishing community in Cupel Village have a low level of education. Fishing communities have income through the use of uncertain marine natural resources. This is caused by various factors and during the famine season, fishing communities have no other source of livelihood, apart from utilizing natural resources in the marine sector. (2) The consumption pattern of fishing communities is influenced by the income generated during the harvest and famine seasons. During the fish harvest season, the fishing community has valuable goods to sell during the famine season. (3) There are social changes that occur in the fishing community of Cupel Village due to the level of education and income of fishermen during the fish harvest season and the famine season. This condition causes a fluctuating consumption pattern so that it raises public awareness to look for other sources of life in order to anticipate during the famine season.
 Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk menganalisis perubahan sosial yang terjadi pada masyarakat nelayan Desa Cupel Kecamatan Negara Kabupaten Jembrana. Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian ini terdiri dari informan kunci dan informan pendukung dengan teknik snowball. Analisis data menggunakan metode Miles dan Huberman yang terdiri dari pengumpulan data, penyajian data, reduksi data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah (1) Kondisi sosial masyarakat nelayan Desa Cupel memiliki taraf pendidikan yang rendah. Masyarakat nelayan memiliki pendapatan melalui pemanfaatan sumber daya alam laut yang tidak menentu. Hal ini diakibatkan oleh berbagai faktor dan ketika musim paceklik masyarakat nelayan tidak mempunyai sumber penghidupan lain, selain memanfaatkan sumber daya alam di sektor laut. (2) Pola konsumsi masyarakat nelayan dipengaruhi oleh pendapatan yang dihasilkan pada saat musim panen dan paceklik. Pada saat musim panen ikan, masyarakat nelayan memiliki barang berharga yang akan dijualnya ketika musim paceklik. (3) Adanya perubahan sosial yang terjadi pada masyarakat nelayan Desa Cupel diakibatkan oleh tingkat pendidikan serta pendapatan nelayan pada musim panen ikan dan musim paceklik. Kondisi ini menyebabkan terjadinya pola konsumsi yang fluktuatif sehingga menumbuhkan kesadaran masyarakat untuk mencari sumber kehidupan lainnya agar dapat mengantisipasi pada saat musim paceklik." @default.
