- W3195909742 abstract "This research tries analyzed the use of Lebay words by Twitter users in Tweeting. The word of Lebay is a hyperbole that becomes an attractive figurative language. Despite the fact that it is certainly acceptable for people to use Lebay. In most societies, males and females communicate freely with one another using Lebay in Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication. Therefore, almost everyday, new of Lebay expressions appear in social network, like as Facebook, Twitter, My space, Gtalk, Yahoo Messenger, etc.Based on above phenomena, this research consists of two main ideas. First, the Lebay words used by Twitter users. second, the reason of using Lebay words in twitter users tweets. In order to answer the question that mentions above, this research uses an observation, interviewing, and document analysis.The result of the research showed that there are three characteristics of Lebay words used by twitter users. They are repitition of letters, a new word formation, and Lebay in sentence. In order to find out the reason, the writer asks twitter users directly about their Lebay words in their tweets. The writer found out that emotions became the main reason why twitter users used Lebay words easily in their communication, especially Twitter. Although Lebay words is a phenomena in daily life, but the reason of Lebay words is not only a new trend in language but also the emotions in the writer itself." @default.
