- W3196134385 abstract "Population studies is one of the important branches in geographical disciplines, because of its great importance in knowing the numbers of the population, its geographical distribution, growth, composition and future expectations, so it required to study the Hashemite district from studying their population growth and future expectations until 2037, which was determined by the period between 1997 - 2017.The research reached that there is a clear discrepancy in the population growth for the period 1997-2017, as a result of the natural increase and the movement of immigration to the district, as the rate of population growth reached its highest in the 1997-2007 stage of (3.4%) and decreased in the period 2007-2017 to (2.1%). The research shows that there is a clear and large discrepancy in population growth rates between administrative units, and the research also revealed a high rate of population growth in the countryside, as it reached (3.5%) for the period 1997-2007, which exceeds the rate of urban population growth, as it reached (3.2%) for the same stage, but in the 2007-2017 period, the urban population growth rate reached (2.7%), lower than its counterpart in the previous stage, and higher than its counterpart in the countryside (1.6%) for the same stage. The research, based on population projections and assuming the stability of the annual rate of change, expected that the population in the Hashemite district in 2027 would reach 596,614 people, and that this population size would double to reach (806,668) people by the year 2037, in case the vital changes and demographic conditions of the population continued at its current pace." @default.
