To this end, the average Nigerian worker seeks fulfillment elsewhere, outside his job while others do not derive any meaning from their jobs. The implication is that the work attitude of most workers is questionable. The study examined the role of motivation in enhancing the job commitment of workers in Multinational companies in Nigeria. A sample size of 150 workers which cut across three staff categories, Management, Senior, and Junior, from two Multinational companies, were selected, using stratified random sampling. The survey research design was adopted. Research data were analyzed using Descriptive statistics such as Frequency tables and Percentages as well as inferential statistics like Pearson Correlation and Pearson Chi-Square. Results of the study indicated that there is a positive correlation between perceived sources of motivation and the extent to which they are present in respondents’ organizations. Furthermore, the correlation coefficient was significant, thus indicating that employees are sufficiently motivated; employees are satisfied with their jobs; there is a significant relationship between job satisfaction and motivation; and there is a relationship between employees’ job commitment and Job satisfaction. The need for strategic managers and other stakeholders in other organizations to emulate the multinational companies in employee motivation were suggested, among others." @default.
