- W3199931820 abstract "Loads that are vertical, horizontal, or longitudinal are the three major categories of loads acting on structures. Vertical loads are coms from the self-weight of the structural members which is a mainly dead load refer to vertical load. The principal vertical load, also known as the dead load of the structure, is caused mostly by the self-weight of structural components. Therefore, safety and economy which are the major factors for construction of building or structure. If the loads are changed and raised, the economy suffers. When cost-cutting measures are adopted and loads are reduced, Safety is jeopardized. It is important for every structure to maintain a positive standard without losing neither safety nor economy. In other words, the building with the maximum load supported by self-weight ratio must be determined. Various thicknesses and positions of connection between two channel cold formed steel sections are explored in this article for this purpose. For this research, two channel back to back sections were chosen since they are widely used in roof trusses where self-weight is a key problem. Flexural load testing is performed on the sections, and their load/weight ratio is determined.. is determined in order to rate the sections' performance." @default.
