- W3201007907 abstract "Because of their high strength-to-weight ratio, composites outperform traditional materials. Natural fibers are increasingly being used in composites due to environmental concerns. Their hygroscopic character, on the other hand, has a negative impact on the mechanical properties of the composites. The need to analyses the water uptake characteristics of natural fiber hybrid composites has arisen as a result of composites' use in decking, flooring, and outdoor facilities. The objective of this paper is to study the water absorption behavior and observed that banana/glass fiber composite keeps on increasing. The conclusion is that banana fiber absorbs more water than kenaf/glass fiber composites, and there are numerous causes for trapping of natural fiber water consumption." @default.
