- W3201172406 abstract "The study findings have been made on Magnesium (Mg) and Zinc (Zn) codoped vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) nanostructured thin film to know the effect on morphological, structural and optical properties of the different codoping percentage concentrations like 1%, 3%, 5% and 10% of Mg and Zn. X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectrum taken shows polycrystalline nature with an orthorhombic structure in the fabricated thin films. The EDAX spectrum confirms the presence of infused dopants of Zn and Mg in the V2O5 matrix. The surface morphology revealed by the field emission scan electron microscopic images shown the modified grain structure with the increase in the doping concentrations. The enhanced surface roughness was visible from the atomic force microscopy (AFM) images show the influence of codoping of Mg and Zn. With a rise in doping concentration, the film's transmittance and energy bandgap (Eg) were dropped, but its absorbance was increased. The reflectance was found to be the lowest for 3% codoped thin film. The gas sensor studies on the thin films have shown good sensitivity to hazardous gas like ammonia. The selectivity study suggests that these thin films could be used to detects gases like NO2, CO, O2 and H2. These findings suggest that deposited thin films of Zn-Mg codoped V2O5 could be used as a promising material for gas sensors and energy applications." @default.
