Despite the excellent mechanical properties of FRP composites, they are prone to various forms of damage such as delamination and interlaminar cracking as a result of low-energy impact and manufacturing defects. The increasing growth in the usage of composite materials in industries such as automotive, wind energy, and aerospace demands efficient and effective repair procedures. Injection repair technique involves impregnating damaged areas with a low-viscosity resin with the aid of vacuum and pressure, thus consolidating the laminated component until the resin cures. This chapter covers the mechanism of delamination damage, nondestructive damage detection methodologies, commonly used low-viscosity resins, strategies of resin injection repairs along with some case studies, and challenges associated with the implantation of this repair technique." @default.
