- W320135019 abstract "Objective To explore the prognosis value of cardiovascular risk factors, carotid arteriosclerosis(CAS),carotid atherosclerotic plaque score(PS)in predicting coronary lesion and recent cardiovascular events in females with chest pain. Methods We retrospectively analyzed age, hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes mellitus(DM),results of carotid ultrasonic and coronary angiography for 309 female patients with chest pain and suspected coronary heart disease(CHD).The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC area)was used to quantify the predictive value of the risk factors including CAS or PS.Results To predict morbidity of CHD in female patients with chest pain, the ROC areas of models with aging hypertension, dyslipidemia and DM were 0.623,0.574,0.580 and 0.590 respectively in the model;CAS or PS increased the ROC areas to 0.697/0.727,0.683/0.725,0.674/0.718 and 0.692/0.730.To predict morbidity of multi-vessel lesion in female CHD patients, the ROC areas of models with aging, hypertension, dyslipidemia and DM were 0.597,0.524,0.508 and 0.547,respectively;CAS or PS increased the ROC areas to 0.678 /0.730,0.636/0.716,0.615/0.698 and 0.646/0.718,respectively.The ROC area increased significantly by introducing CAS or PS into the model with only traditional risk factors of CHD in female pateints with chest pain and multiple coronary arteriosclerosis(P0.01).PAS worked better than PS did(P0.05).Conclusion CAS and PS are useful in predicting CHD and multi-vessel lesions by increasing the predictive value of CHD on the basis of traditional CHD risk factors.PS is more helpful in predicting the diseases in the model than CAS." @default.
