- W3204374951 abstract "The Akşehir district is located in the northwest of Konya within the Akarçay Basin. Groundwater, which is the main water source, is used to meet the needs of drinking and irrigation water in Akşehir and its surroundings. In addition, agricultural activities, human impacts, and geogenic factors cause deterioration of groundwater quality. In the present study, 31 water samples were collected from each well. Thematic distribution maps were prepared using GIS for hydrochemical and water pollution assessments of groundwater analysis data. In addition, different hydrochemical evaluation graphs are created. According to the Piper diagram, Ca-Mg-HCO 3 and Ca-HCO 3 were determined to be the major water types. According to the Gibbs diagrams, the main processes that contribute to water chemistry are water-rock interactions and evaporation. The main hydrogeochemical processes controlling groundwater chemistry in the study area are Carbonate weathering and silicate weathering. In addition, ion exchange and reverse ion exchange have been identified as possible hydrogeochemical processes. Based on these results, it is possible to say that geogenic effects predominantly affect groundwater chemistry, while anthropogenic effects are weaker." @default.
