- W3204712978 abstract "One approach to promote smart grids is by accurately forecasting the power of photovoltaic panels. As they affect significantly the efficiency of photovoltaic panels during winter, we have the challenge to know exactly the available solar energy, and the existence of snow and other forms of pollution. Thus, the forecasting model should give precise information to permit MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracker) to extract the maximum power at hand. The effectiveness of MPPT is mainly based on the data acquisition system, and the mathematical model used to emulate the behaviour of photovoltaic panels. Due to the complexity of this research topic, we focus to investigate whether it is possible to detect photovoltaic panel parameters employing a minimum of external sensors. As well as, we concentrate on this paper to inquire on how parameters estimation affects efficiency, current, and power. For this purpose, a set of experiments were proposed and carried out. The results confirm the strong relationship between the data acquisition system and the maximum extracted power." @default.
