- W3204952010 abstract "AbstractBacteria are increasingly adapting to antibiotics, and new molecules are emerging every day. Bacterial resistanceto antibiotics now causes harmful effects that are ignored by the consumer populations. Today, differentstrategies are applied to control pathogens. Particular interest has been shown in recent years for essential oils ,which are considered to be natural and healthy products and which constitute an effective alternative forchemical preservatives. The essential oil studied comes from Eucalyptus camaldulensis which is a tropical plantby extraction with steam with a lower cost of production. In our study this H.E shows antimicrobial potentialitieswhich varied according to the bacteria and the different doses used. In a first step we applied the differentseeding and isolation techniques of E.coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterococcus faecalis and Proteus mirabilisto the laboratory from biological fluids and conserved the strains. Secondly, we extracted the essential oil andtested its efficacy on the 4 bacterial strains with a simple but reliable technology. Antimicrobial activities weretested positive if not confirmed. Thus we evaluated the ratio between the dose and the diameter of inhibition ofthe microbial strains and the reaction of the bacteria Gram + and Gram-. The oil studied showed a strongantibacterial activity on all the strains tested, among which Proteus. Mirabilis proved to be the most sensitivewhile Klebsiella. pneumoniae is the most resistant. The lowest dose exerted by the essential oil was 10 μl whichinhibited P. mirabilis. These results point to a favorable outcome in the area of health safety.Key words: Sensibility, soils bacterial, Eucalyptus camaldulensis and essential oil." @default.
