- W3206778238 abstract "The article deals with the problem of ensuring the breaking capacity of high-voltage circuit breakers with an increase in the level of short-circuit currents. Instead of replacing the switches with more powerful ones, it is proposed to use an adjustable deceleration in the protection action on opening the circuit breaker in order to reduce the aperiodic current to an acceptable value at the moment of opening the main contacts. The application of electromechanical relays with intermediate saturable transformers to slow down the protection action is considered. Models of these relays were developed using MATLAB Simscape library, studies were carried out on the models, which confirmed the effectiveness of deceleration. For use in microprocessor protection terminals, a digital algorithm for slowing down the shutdown is proposed. For its application, a method has been developed for determining all parameters of the short-circuit current from its oscillogram. The algorithm has been tested on a mathematical model in MATLAB Simulink, its effectiveness has been confirmed for various initial conditions and influencing factors. The limitation of the proposed deceleration method associated with possible saturation of current transformers at the initial moment of a short-circuit is noted. It is proposed to apply the developed algorithm in conjunction with digital current transformers." @default.
