- W3206979084 abstract "Bi2Sn2O7-based photocatalysts were synthesized via a hydrothermal route. The XRD patterns indicate that the synthesized Bi2Sn2O7 and Tb3+/Eu3+-doped Bi2Sn2O7 have a single phase. The SEM images and N2 adsorption and desorption isotherms indicate that they are microspheres containing nanosheets and that Tb3+/Eu3+ barely influences the microstructure of the samples. Bi2Sn2O7-based photocatalysts show excellent photocatalytic activities due to their special crystal structure. The photocatalytic activities are further enhanced by Tb3+/Eu3+ doping, which originates from the improvements in light harvesting, more efficient separation of photogenerated carriers and interface charge transfer. Among the synthesized Bi2Sn2O7-based photocatalysts, Bi1·92Tb0.04Eu0.04Sn2O7 has the highest photocatalytic activity, which is induced by the formation of coupling-half-filled 4f1/4f2 orbitals holding seven f-electrons." @default.
