However, their major drawback is the high noise and torque ripple. In this paper, an online analytical approach for the turn-off angle is presented to enhance the machine's torque profile at low, medium, and high-speed ranges. First, the turn-on angle is offline determined via solving a multi-objective optimization problem. Then, the turn-off angle of the active phase is calculated as a function of the turn-on angle of the next phase, motor speed, and the rise time of the phase current. The turn-off angle calculation's main concept is to force an intersection between the last peak of the active phase current and the next phase's first peak. A trusted SRM model is built and adopted in this work. Simulation is carried out on three phases 1 kW 12/8 SRM." @default.
