- W3208925653 abstract "Effects of internal fins in absorber pipes are analysed experimentally on the fabricated cylindrical collector with different lengths of fins at various flow rates on different days. Comparative analyses are done at different time intervals on the same day at two cylindrical collectors. The axis of the absorber pipe is orientated in the North–South direction which is Mode III type. Ambient/inlet/output temperatures, flow rates and useful heat gain rates are found with/without fins. Inlet/outlet rates of exergy, exergy gain rates and exergy efficiencies are found at different conditions. Experimental work is concluded; maximum outlet exergy and exergy gain rate i.e. 743.681 W and 136.643 W are found with fins considering Sun’s cone angle. Maximum temperature increment in fluid, percentage increment in exergy from inlet to outlet and exergy efficiency i.e. 62.4°C, 23.868% and 23.883% are achieved with a bigger length of fins. For the better thermal performance of the collector, internal fins with a bigger length are recommended for the absorber pipe." @default.
