- W3209441685 abstract "Waterflooding simulations are usually carried out using the Buck-ley-Leverett (BL) equation, which is the transportation equation for dynamic fluids that describes two phases of immiscible fluid flow on porous media. In this case, the authors focus on the effect of nonequilibrium in relative permeability regardless of capillary pressure which can be described by the Baren-blatt model, namely a model of nonequilibrium capillary pressure and relative permeability. In this case, the flux of each phase in the BL equation does not depend on current saturation only (actual saturation), but also on effective saturation (future saturation). So that the solution requires the evolution equation proposed by Barenblatt. This paper is a review of what has been done by Juanes. However, the authors discretize by using the vertex centered finite volume on the law of conservation of time (partial differential equations) and evolutionary equations (ordinary differential equations)." @default.
