- W3210180168 abstract "Cognitive behavioural coaches seek to actively engage their coachees in effective coaching relationships. This chapter delineates a Cognitive behavioural coaching (CBC) perspective on the coaching relationship, drawing from published research in the coaching, working alliance, cognitive behavioural therapy and relationship science literature. It focuses on the particular role of the ‘collaborative spirit’ in CBC, as well as common difficulties experienced in the coaching alliance, and how these can be addressed, using examples of coach-coachee dialogue. The coaching relationship is also a broad concept incorporating any and all motivations and activities of the coachee and coach, and not all relationship are likely to bring change. The coach and coachee need to agree on the coaching goals and how to work towards achieving them." @default.
