- W3210367743 abstract "Partial shading is the condition in which a PV array receives varying levels of irradiance, resulting in a significant variation in output power. PV modules can be connected in different configurations in order to provide consistent output power. Different PV module connection schemes give different pathways for current flow, which eventually improves power output under partial shading. An Indepth review of literature shows that PV modules are generally connected in series parallel (SP) and total-cross-tied (TCT) configurations. For a particular location, the best configuration is determined by its shading pattern. For a fixed shading condition using MATLAB, a real time analysis of SP, TCT and a reconfiguration scheme of TCT is done, to determine the best performance by comparing the time average efficiency. This comparison can be done on daily, monthly and yearly shading and irradiance data. This analysis can act as a pointer for placement of solar power plants when there is unavoidable fixed shade on the location." @default.
