- W3210403574 abstract "The article problematizes the political link between the phenomenon of Fake News (FN) or misinformation and public health. It works with the hypothesis that the FN problem constrains the democratic formation of public judgments and affects the relation of forces that dispute the directions of society and the State. Initially, a mapping of the state of the art is promoted, invoking national and foreign literature. Throughout this presentation, it was pointed out how this phenomenon affects public health. Then, as an angular objective, an analysis of FN as a problem of power asymmetry and inequality is outlined. The political argument is based on the sense that the concentration of resources and powers perverts democracy, and the fake news machines are used to destabilize the order, maintain it or take it by force, as in a hybrid war, departing from the principle of popular sovereignty. We conclude by verifying the hypothesis raised and that, to avoid voluntarism, a good form of analysis is to treat the phenomenon of disinformation as a political challenge of power asymmetry and inequality." @default.
