As a multinational company having its product sold across the globe, Fuso's headquarter in Japan is dealing with a huge financial data pool and data sources. This precious data which provides important insights to the business decision making is managed manually in a very conservative way through spreadsheet, which then being transferred through emails. Processing raw data in excel took days, sometimes weeks, of workload; not to mention the risk of human error and intransparent numbers. For this reason, the Business Intelligence Data Warehouse was built at Fuso in 2016. The two-years-long project was aimed to store and automate all the financial data and sources (e.g. from SAP) properly. There are more than 20 data sources have been connected to the system and now could be easily accessed within seconds. This report also studies and discuss how the data warehouse could affect the financial reporting process, speeding up the efficiencies, and on how the diverse culture in FUSO respond to the technology change in their daily work. It is found that the data processing is becoming very fast and easy, only if the users are willing to learn the new process, particularly speaking about the more senior employees. In the later part, this report assesses the new data warehouse with the Technology Acceptance Model, developed by Venkatesh and Davis, through its users' perception toward the technology. In conclusion, the report suggests that further institutionalizing effort from the organization must be done in order to increase the user experience and therefore retain the usage." @default.
