It is an exciting time in the world of radionuclide development, as the demand for novel and exotic radionuclides is on the increase. As a result, various research institutes worldwide have investigated different production routes to produce nuclides that have diagnostic or therapeutic features. The demand for some of them are such that facilities need to be built to be able to produce what is desired. Due to the improved development of biological vectors towards radiopharmacy, it is felt that an increased number of radionuclides made available to preclinical and clinical researchers would be able to improve imaging capability and therapeutic efficacy. The following chapter provides a brief overview of what is currently being developed towards the clinic and is referred to as “non-conventional” radionuclides." @default.
