- W3211459875 abstract "With the rapid diminishing fossil fuels and environmental deterioration, the researchers are finding potential alternative options that are sustainable, green, and renewable biofuel. Biomass has been regarded as the most potential viable option to yield the sustainable biofuels and chemicals. With underpinning the chief benefits of microwave (MW)-assisted heating that possess fast and controlled heating rate, save energy and no prerequisite for agitation or fluidization and finally more amenable to generate high qualitative products, namely, biooil, gas, and biochar. The inclusion of MW irradiation for waste conversion and processing to potential product is gaining admiration, globally. MW-assisted pyrolysis of organic wastes for biooil production has emerged as a promising technology for waste valorization. The present chapter is a state-of-the-art of organic waste conversion for biofuel production, including the application of MW for pretreatment, catalytic processes (both in-situ and ex-situ) and further the techno-economic analysis and scalable opportunities with future perspective and challenges has also been covered." @default.
