- W3211668730 abstract "Young adults were experiencing amplified burdens during the coronavirus pandemic. Mental resources like positive effect and strength use might have helped young adults to overcome many of the pandemic related burdens. This research report used secondary data from two studies and compared the data. The surveys utilised in this study were the Strength Use Scale and the standard and short-form Positive effect and Negative Affect Schedule. The data indicated that the positive affect of young adults was higher in data set 2 and that strength use was higher in data set 1. An association between strengths use and positive affect were found. The group affiliation (data sets 1 or 2) did not impact the association between strength use and positive affect. The covariate age was negatively associated with positive affect. A future within-subject study would be necessary to confirm these implications. Altogether, the results show that strength use and positive are essential resources for young adults during the coronavirus pandemic." @default.
