- W3214091013 abstract "Halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have emerged as an exciting photovoltaic technology due to their high efficiency, easy scalability, and low fabrication cost. The possibility of being fabricated on flexible substrates and semitransparent devices has attracted widespread research efforts due to their potential in portable electronics and wearables for the future Internet of Things (IoT). Currently, the efficiency of flexible PSCs surpasses an extraordinary 19.5%. It is imperative to ensure their reliability over long periods. This review focuses on the progress of flexible PSC where semiconductor oxides are applied as transport layers providing high stability to the final solar cell. The review includes the application of metal oxides in normal (n–i–p), inverted (p–i–n), and “oxide-sandwiched” PSCs. We also include a review on the use of oxide multilayers in carbon-based PSCs (C-PSCs) and the application of oxides made by low-temperature solution-processable methods for flexible PSCs. An outlook on the future of flexible solar cells in IoT applications is also presented." @default.
