• W3214669007 abstract "Our work aimed to study effect of La-Co substitution on the structural and magnetic properties of M-type Barium Ferrite in the form of the Ba1-xLaxFe12-xCoxO19 (x=0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.5). All samples were prepared by mechanochemicals method using high energy milling machine and sintered at 1200 °C for 5h. The investigation of structural and magnetic properties was carried out using X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and permagraph. The X-ray diffraction patterns were analyzed using GSAS program. The morphology of samples was observed using scanning electron microscope (SEM). The Rietveld-refinement results reveal a single-phase formation of BaFe12O19 (Hexagonal, sg. P 63/m m c) in the composition of x=0 and x=0.1. The second phase formation of CoFe2O4 was detected in the higher doping compositions (x>0.1). The value of lattice constants (a=b, c) and cell volume (Vcell) were found to decrease with the increase of La-Co contents. The magnetic coercivity (Hc) increases with the La-Co substitutions related to the high magnetocrystalline anisotropy and decreasing grain size." @default.
