- W3215760892 abstract "The current report interested in removal of different pollutants including dyes and pesticides from water using hybrids containing functionalized cotton and metal organic framework (MOF). Cotton fabrics were firstly functionalized by interaction with oxalyl chloride and then different MOFs were enclosed within functionalized cotton (Ox-cotton) to produce four different [email protected] hybrids. Micro-particles of MOFs were successfully incorporated within the functionalized cotton. The obtained hybrids were employed in removal of methylene blue (MB) & rhodamine B (RhB) as dyes and diazinon & chlorpyrifos as pesticides. Adsorption of pollutants onto the hybrids was obeyed to pseudo-second order model and Langmuir profile. Maximum adsorption capacities of dyes and pesticides were considerably enlarged from 73.81–59.94 mg/g and 142.67 mg/g for cotton to 75.46–187.03 mg/g and 296.77–464.69 mg/g for [email protected] hybrids, respectively. Compared to the other hybrids, [email protected] hybrid showed the highest adsorption capacity for all pollutants. Incorporation of NH2-UiO-101-Zr within functionalized cotton, was resulted in enhancement of the maximum adsorption capacities by factor of 2.3–2.5 for dye and 3.1–3.3 for pesticides. The adsorption capacities of NH2[email protected] hybrid were reduced by 10–12% for dye and 34–39% for pesticides, after 5 regeneration cycles." @default.
