- W3217315463 abstract "Human Activities invariably generate waste. This wasn't a serious issue once the human population was comparatively little, however, became a heavy drawback with urbanization and therefore the growth of the huge metropolis. Poor management of waste led to the contamination of water, soil, air and atmosphere and a serious impact on public health. As the lifestyle of humans changed, new waste materials evolved resulting in the number of chemical substances present in various waste streams augmented dramatically. Due to the exposure of these substances, makes a long-term health effect especially when their concentrations are very small and when there are other exposure pathways like air, food, soil, water, etc. Increasing the rates of recycling can drastically reduce the longterm effects of the waste generated. As recycling saves energy, it additionally reduces greenhouse gas emissions, which helps to tackle temperature change and climate change. Nowadays the recycling practice is that people need to bring the waste in bulk to the recycling centre, maybe a hassle and become a discouraging factor for them to recycle. To overcome this issue, a prototype model for the reverse vending machine is proposed which uses the concept of waste to wealth." @default.
