- W3217639607 abstract "We present a general framework for maximizing the power delivered to a load resistance of a magnetoelectric wireless power transfer system, especially under a volume constraint condition. We derive an analytical solution to a power optimization problem, both for a given transducer geometry and when the geometric dimensions are subject to change. We investigate the relationships between the output power and the chosen operating frequency in various circumstances when the mechanical damping coefficient or the mechanical quality factor is kept constant independent of the change in the receiver geometry. We discuss the essential roles of the magneto-elastic transduction factor and a resonator figure of merit and show how to obtain the optional thickness ratio between the two constitutive materials, magnetostrictive and piezoelectric. Examples with particular sets of system parameters are given to demonstrate the general theoretical analysis." @default.
