- W323217698 abstract "The adsorption of N/sub 2/O and its reaction with CO on polycrystalline Pt foil was studied by means of TD and TPR with angular resolution. The sticking coefficient for dissociative adsorption of N/sub 2/O (0.025 +/- 0.008 at 300 K) and k/sub 0/ and E of formation of CO/sub 2/, equal to (0.8 +/- 0.2) x 10/sup -4/ cm/sup 2//sec and 52.2 +/- 4.2 kJ/mole, respectively, were determined. The angular distributions of O/sub 2/ desorbing after the adsorption of N/sub 2/O and CO/sub 2/ forming in the reaction are described by the equation I/sub phi/ = I/sub 0/ cos/sup n/phi, where N/sub O/sub 2// = 1.5-1.7 and n/sub CO/sub 2// = 3. The oxygen forming on the Pt surface during the adsorption of N/sub 2/O is shown to be identical to that forming during the adsorption of O/sub 2/." @default.
