- W340718239 abstract "Logistics is considered as theoretical and practical area in post-industrial economy. Information and knowledge have become dominating resources in current economy. Therefore competitiveness of company depends on effective corporate educational system. Corporate education includes external and internal education. The right balance of learning in organization is 20 per cent of external programs and 80 percent of internal ones. The first thing is different training and workshops and the second is variety of possibilities which a company can use as education tools (webinars, forums, databases etc.). The main force of corporate education is managing of corporate knowledge. The process of knowledge management is a cycle including three sequential stages: 1. Creation and accumulation of knowledge; 2. Distribution and sharing of knowledge; 3. Acquisition and application of knowledge. Effective process of producing new knowledge supposes sequential passing them from one stage to another. According to study of World Bank the technologic knowledge completely updates every two years and doubling of information happens every 72 hours. To be able to hold competitive advantage on the market a company should create and apply new knowledge faster than rivals. Using principals of logistics in knowledge management allows a company to increase speed of information flow circulating in organization. There are two types of corporate knowledge: explicit knowledge (formalized) and tacit knowledge (nonformalized). Explicit knowledge is generalized in scientific and practical literature, description of inventions and discoveries, different instructions and regulating materials and other documentary sources. Tacit knowledge exists in a form of personal skills and sharing from one person to another by using of personal communication and education. According to this classification it's considered two approaches to knowledge management in a company. Organization of explicit corporate knowledge management using principals of logistics is carried out with creation of a database of a company. The database allows connecting all documents in integrated information space, where every employee gets opportunity to access in actual time in target place with low costs. So it's creating logistics system where the main goal is to manage circulating in its informational flows consists in synchronization speed of transfer with speed of information receiving. In practice according to data of analytic corporation Gardner Group, employees spend 10 percent of their time on looking for information, which is necessary to make a decision, from 20 to 40 percent of time on working out already finished documents. Every document is coped in average 9-11 times. According to Xerox company research, 46 percent of corporate knowledge consist of different documents in company which doesn't apply knowledge management systems. From these 26 percent are on paper carriers and others on computer carriers. Another information is kept in employee's folders and can be got only by employees. Creating companies database leads to systematic knowledge accumulation, structuring and distribution in organization what leads to fasting working process, reusing the best practices and reducing costs on the similar tasks from project to project. Using of logistics principals is helpful in tacit knowledge too. This approach is based on building internal system education of employees. According to research of international auditing company KPMG about 60 percent corporate knowledge goes out of date during three years. …" @default.
