- W4200173191 abstract "The pollution of water is an issue of great concern worldwide. Contaminants are harmful to the receiving environments. Many treatment approaches are used to deal with the removal of pollutants in wastewater. Most of these methods are energy-consuming and not cost-effective despite the fact that they are reliable. The use of bioremediation processes for the removal of toxic compounds from wastewater is gaining more interest. Bioremediation using microorganisms presents a potential for the future because of its simplicity, possible cost-effectiveness, and effectiveness in removing contaminants. However, there are environmental and biological factors that can hinder the normal course of the bioremediation process. Some of these factors include the following: the presence of nutrients, temperature, oxygen addition or diffusion, pH, heavy metals, presence of toxic compounds, physiology of biodegradative microorganisms, metabolic activity, the effectiveness of contaminants removal mechanisms, and type of microorganisms. Suitable monitoring of these factors can be undertaken to prevent bioremediation failure." @default.
