• W4200332123 abstract "A simple and efficient method is applied for the preparation of methylammonium lead iodide perovskite (MAPbI3), which is defined as a three-dimensional (3D) perovskite, and octadecylammonium lead iodide perovskite (OA2PbI4), which is defined as a 2D perovskite; meanwhile, multidimensional perovskite (MDP) is based on the two materials mentioned above with a general formula OAxMA1–xPbI3 in which x represents the different content of the relative component. It is demonstrated that MDP has a higher charge transfer ability than traditional 3D perovskite and enhanced performance compared to that of 2D perovskite. Finally, it is found that the MDP material can balance good charge transfer and efficient electron–hole separation ability from 2D perovskite and a full visible range absorption ability comes from 3D perovskite. The prepared OA0.15MA0.85PbI3 is studied in visible light driven photocatalytic H2 evolution in aqueous HI solution, resulting in a continuous PHE in 24 h with a rate of 535.9 μmol g–1 h–1, which is much higher than the pristine MAPbI3 with a rate of 276.1 μmol g–1 h–1. Moreover, the quantum efficiency of PHE was determined to be 1.67% for OA0.15MA0.85PbI3 under the irradiation at 420 nm." @default.
