- W4200399418 abstract "In this present era, the usage of plastic is essential and our living surrounded by usage of plastics with plenty of format. These plastic plays a crucial role in the growth of the economy. The raw materials of plastic from crude oil, coal, etc., when we look into the merits of plastics which are helpful in this advancing technology. But, after the usage, it becomes waste. Then their demerits have started due to its improper waste management. Handling these waste plastics becomes a challenging problem in our daily life. Among the wastes, some quantities are used for land fill, some quantities are utilized for recycling/reusable and the balance is still waste. Due to low degradation rate, the accumulation of plastic categorized like Polyethylene teraphthalete (PET), polypropylene (PP) are increasing day by day in the environment which imparts hazardous effects for wildlife, the human food chain. In order to use of these plastics, its been a try to utilize in concrete as substitute material for fine aggregate. In this experimental study, the concrete of M30 grade of concrete is partially replaced with two types of recycled plastic such as PET and PP individually by different percentages as 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25%. The properties of fresh and hardened concrete are examined to determine the appropriate percentage of PET and PP inclusion in conventional concrete." @default.
