- W4200419076 abstract "Purpose : This study was to conducted to analyze the effects of emotional intelligence, Grit and communication competence on major satisfaction of nursing students. Methods : The participants were 157 nursing students in G city. The study period was from November 6 to November 13, 2020. Data were collected with a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed with IBM SPSS statistics 21.0 program using t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression. Results : There was a statistically significant positive correlation between emotional intelligence, grit, communication competence and major satisfaction. According to the results of this study, the factors of Communication Competence(β=.58, p<.001) and Motivation for applying nursing : Aptitude(β=.16, p=.008), Motivation for applying nursing : Belief(β=.16, p=.008) had the positive impact on the Major Satisfaction level of nursing students. These factors explained 57.0% of the variance in student major satisfaction. Conclusion : Thus, it is necessary to improve nursing students’ communication competence should be developed to improve major satisfaction of nursing students." @default.
