- W4200488108 abstract "The contribution presented in this paper focuses on the application of the differential evolution algorithm for an optimal surface of the sliding mode control applied to a speed wind turbine system The differential evolution algorithm is used in order to adjust optimally the parameters of the modified surface of sliding mode control, in this study we choose a PID type to overcome the problem of static error and exceeding the set point, the integral and derivative terms are included to improve the sliding surface which guarantees a maximum wind power extraction in the presence of the nonlinear dynamics and uncertainties. The proposed method is compared with the conventional SMC and PID-SMC; the simulations results show good performance in terms of stabilization time as well as in terms of pursuit." @default.
