The method involves in the spin-coating of aqueous solution of CsCl (CsCl/H <inf xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>2</inf> O) onto PbI <inf xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>2</inf> film, followed by thermal annealing. The as-obtained film is composed of vertically-aligned single-crystalline Cs <inf xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>2</inf> PbI <inf xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>2</inf> Cl <inf xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>2</inf> nanosheets with the average thickness of ~190 nm. The resulting PD yields a desired response range of 300-420 nm, a low dark current density of 2.74×10 <sup xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>-7</sup> mA cm <sup xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>-2</sup> , a high responsivity (R) peak of 17.3 mA W <sup xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>-1</sup> , a superior specific detectivity (D <sup xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>*</sup> ) maximum of 1.85×10 <sup xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>12</sup> Jones, and a fast response speed of 0.2 ms, along with excellent operational stability, exceeding those of most reported self-powered, visible-blind UV PDs based on all-inorganic perovskites." @default.
