- W4200616029 abstract "Aiming to increase the properties of foamed concrete via improving the foam-stability, crosslinked poly sodium acrylate superabsorbent polymer (SAP) was used to produce foamed concrete. Effect of SAP on the stability of foam , cement paste , and foamed concrete were investigated. Meanwhile, the yield stress development and the attraction force of the SAP to the foam ( F SAP ) were correlated to the foam-stability of foamed concrete. Experiment results reveal that the stability of foam and cement paste decreases with the addition of SAP, however, the incorporation of SAP improves the yield stress of cement paste, thus increasing the foam-stability of foamed concrete. In addition, the attraction force of the SAP to the foam ( F SAP ) can decrease the foam-stability of foamed concrete. The foamed concrete with appropriate type and amount of SAP tends to exhibit higher foam-stability and form more homogeneous pore structure , leading to better mechanical performance of foamed concrete." @default.
