- W4205653318 abstract "Recycled power (RP) is a major byproduct in recycling construction and demolition (C&D) waste and widely employed in preparing mortar and concrete. A large amount of literature on the utilization of RP as supplementary cementitious materials in cement-based material has been published in recent years, but a systematic review has been lacking. Concrete and brick wastes are approximately up to 80% of C&D waste, and thus this work aims to present an overview of the use of recycled concrete powder and recycled brick powder in new cement-based material. The grinding process of RP and the fundamental characteristics of RP-prepared cement-based material are introduced in detail. The results show that the high activity RP can be prepared after grinding, and incorporating appropriate content of RP has less influence on the performance of prepared concrete; however, incorporating high-volume of RP does a lot of harm to the performance of prepared concrete. A quantified relationship between RP replacements and the fundamental characteristics of cement-based material has been further established in this work. The mixed RP in cement-based material has an excellent economic benefit as well as an environmental benefit, and thus the RP is an ecofriendly recycled material. One hopes that the findings in this review help the RP application in cement-based material." @default.
