- W4206103496 abstract "Over the last three decades, in order to reduce environmental issues of processing fine mineral separation methods such as flotation while decreasing capital cost, gravity separation has become significantly important. Falcon concentrators as enhanced gravity separators have been developed for the sharper separation beneficiation of finely disseminated ores based on their specific gravity differences. Falcon concentrators employed centrifugal force, which is many times improve the separation based on the gravitational force. This comprehensive review analyses the literature on Falcon separators’ application and process mechanisms for the first time, contrasting several factors’ effect on their metallurgical responses. Studying these factors would be crucial for optimizing industrial plant operation and the expansion of laboratory-scale investigation impact. Summaries of the information indicated that the centrifugal force generated by bowl rotation and fluidization water pressure could be considered the most influential factors through falcon separation performance. However, this review released that correlations between operating parameters of a falcon concentrator with their representative metallurgical responses have not been explored thoroughly. Addressing these gaps will pave the way for the design and operation of a falcon separator and help to improve its performance." @default.
