Among the advantageous aspects of precast structures are superior quality, faster construction, and lower costs of the building. However, precast concrete buildings suffer from poor structural continuity, which makes them susceptible to various incidents of progressive collapse in comparison with the regular cast-in-situ concrete structures. Therefore, a comprehensive review of the most significant advancements in terms of enhancing the precast concrete structures’ progressive collapse resistance has been conducted in this paper. The review includes the latest advancements in strengthened schemes of precast concrete beam-column and beam-column-slab connections. The paper aims to provide researchers, designers, and experts that are interested in investigating the precast concrete (PC) structures’ progressive collapse with useful insights. The conducted review is particularly useful for scholars, who are keen on obtaining adequate and up-to-date knowledge so that the current weaknesses and gaps are carefully addressed in further studies." @default.
