In 2018 Siobhan O’Dwyer, Sarah Pinto and Sharon McDonough published a self-care manifesto for academics, calling for scholars to practise self-care as an act of resistance against this culture of overwork. In response to their article in 2019 I dedicated myself to a year of self-care practice. I documented this on Twitter and present it here as a visual narrative accompanied by critical reflection.
