- W4210304810 abstract "In the last few decades, there has been an exponential growth in the field of herbal medicine. Different plants are referenced for their typical therapeutic properties, for example, pain relief, calming, antipyretic, hostile to diabetic, etc. Moringa is one such plant utilized due to its diverse therapeutic properties. Among the 13 species of this tree, present research is limited to Moringa oleifera, Moringa peregrina, Moringa stenopetala, and Moringa concanensis. Most parts of the plant (barks, roots, leaves, flowers, and seeds) are used in the treatment of illness and production of drugs against bacteria, fungi, virus, and other pathogens in human beings. From the health point of view, Moringa seeds oil has been used to treat various diseases because of its biological activities. Unfortunately, many of these reports of efficacy in human beings are not supported by placebo-controlled, randomized clinical trials, nor have they been published in high visibility journals. For this reason, researchers have been focused the investigations in order to explain all of the excesses of efficacy claims that have accumulated over the years. This chapter aims to collect about the biological activities of Moringa seeds oil. Furthermore, a description of the fatty acid profile, the oxidative stability, the sterol and tocopherol content of Moringa oil are presented." @default.
